• Email address — required to deliver the newsletter.
• Subscription tier — free, Core, or Edge, to determine what content you receive.
• Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers, CVVs, or full payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Open and click data — standard email analytics (did you open it, did you click a link). Used only to understand whether the product is working.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name unless you voluntarily provide it.
• We do not track your browsing behaviour across other websites.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We do not use your data to serve you targeted advertising.

How We Use Your Data

Your email address is used for one purpose: sending you the Orvain briefing at 6AM EST. If you are a paid subscriber, it is also used to manage your subscription via Stripe.

We may send occasional product updates (new tier features, changes to the format). These are infrequent and directly relevant to your subscription. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party tools to operate:

• Stripe — payment processing. stripe.com/privacy
• Beehiiv (or equivalent email platform) — newsletter delivery and subscriber management.
• Ionos — website hosting and domain registration.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We select providers who operate under GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers within the EU or with EU-standard data protection agreements in place. We use HTTPS on all pages. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

• Access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Deletion — you can ask us to delete your data. We will do so within 30 days.
